U Store It

This design/build project is a two level, interior access mini-storage facility in the booming University City area of Charlotte. The entire facility is heated with gas fired heat units and the lower level is completely climate controlled. The load bearing masonry building is accented with stucco details. For energy efficiency, glazing is kept to a minimum on the building, except for the rental office which features a storefront system providing natural light. The layout of the building on the sloped site allows direct access from grade to each level. An elevator allows for easy internal circulation of people and freight.
