Located
adjacent to the new Cabarrus County Expo Center and Fairgrounds
on an approximately 35 acre site, this new headquarters building
for Cabarrus County Schools was the first design-build project authorized
for the school system in Cabarrus County.
The 40,000 s.f. all-brick
administration building features an open two-story entrance with
an atrium and enough space to consolidate 90 employees from the
school system current facilities with enough room left for expansion.
It also features a boardroom with state-of-the-art electronics and
data communications that can accommodate up to 125 people for school
board meetings. Arrangements were made to allow this room to be
accessed separately for after hour functions and to allow for school
board and other meetings to be televised from this location.
